GROWING COMMUNITY
In 2025, we focused on strengthening outcomes by expanding access, refining delivery, and building durable infrastructure for rural entrepreneurs. Growth was guided by quality and connection—not scale alone.
WHAT’S NEW
Food Entrepreneurship
With support from California Jobs First, two Food Accelerator tracks allowed entrepreneurs at different stages to receive targeted education and advising.
Learning Hub
Nevada County helped us launch the Learning Hub to increase student access and share resources across programs and regions, reducing geographic barriers for rural entrepreneurs.
Food Foundry Sessions
Virtual sessions connected food entrepreneurs with industry expertise and peer learning beyond in-person events.
Capacity Building
New staff and board members strengthened internal capacity and accountability.
Forest Entrepreneurship
In partnership with the Sierra Business Council, we expanded programming across multiple counties, supporting businesses contributing to forest health, wildfire resilience, and rural economic vitality.
Clearer Program Pathways
Business Ignitor was further aligned as the entry point into sector-specific programs, creating a clearer pathway from idea to focused industry growth.
