Photos and logos will be used to promote your business on the Food X website, social media, and event program. High-resolution images are strongly encouraged!

Food handler certification
All individuals handling food at your booth are required to hold a current California Food Handler Card. This is a condition of participation and may be verified on event day.

Setup & breakdown

Electricity & fuel
Liability insurance
Vendors are required to carry general liability insurance naming Sierra Commons as additionally insured. Please have your certificate of insurance ready to submit upon approval.

Final menu submission
Deadline: September 1, 2026
Your final menu must be submitted to Sierra Commons by September 1st. Menus are required by the Nevada County Department of Environmental Health as part of the special events permit and must be received on time to ensure your participation.

Food sampling
Sierra Commons encourages vendors to sample their food at the event! Vendors who plan to sample must provide their own handwashing station at their booth as required by the Nevada County Department of Environmental Health.

I understand that I am required to bring and set up my own handwashing station at my booth in order to sample food at this event.
Raffle donation
Donating to the raffle is a fantastic way to get additional exposure for your business! Your product will be featured during the raffle drawing and seen by all attendees.

Demonstration stage
The demonstration stage is one of the best marketing opportunities at the event! Showcasing your product or process in front of a live audience is a powerful way to build your brand, attract new customers, and generate buzz at the expo.

Payment
Payment is due upon acceptance of your application. Your space is not confirmed until payment is received.

Vendor agreement
By submitting this application, I agree to the following terms and conditions for participation in Food X, the Nevada County Food Expo, hosted by Sierra Commons at Miners Foundry on September 26, 2026.
Health & safety. I understand that all food vendors must hold a valid permit issued by the Nevada County Department of Environmental Health and that my FA number and PR number will be verified. I agree to comply with all applicable food safety regulations during the event.
Food handler certification. I confirm that all individuals working my booth hold a current and valid California Food Handler Card and agree to make these available for inspection upon request.
Menu submission. I agree to submit my final menu to Sierra Commons by September 1, 2026 for submission to Nevada County DEH as part of the special events permit. I understand that failure to submit my menu by this deadline may result in removal from the event.
Insurance. I agree to carry general liability insurance and provide a certificate of insurance naming Sierra Commons as additionally insured upon acceptance.
Payment. I understand that my booth fee is due upon acceptance and that my space is not confirmed until payment is received. Fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Sierra Commons.
Setup & breakdown. I agree to be fully set up and ready to serve by 11:30 AM. Load-in begins at 10:30 AM. I agree to abide by my selected breakdown time (4:00 PM standard or end of Wine Down at 6:30 PM).
Conduct. I agree to conduct myself and my booth in a professional and courteous manner and to comply with all venue rules at Miners Foundry.
